Do not attempt to adjust frames crafted from Shape-Memory Materials, including pure titanium, memory titanium, TR90 memory plastic, or rimless drill-mount styles. These materials are engineered to retain their original factory geometry, and manual force may cause structural fatigue or permanent damage.
Step-by-Step Adjustment Guide
1. Frames Slipping Down the Nose (Loose Fit)

Metal Frames (Adjustable Nose Pads):
Using the pads of your thumbs, gently compress the nose pads inward toward each other in small increments. This narrows the bridge span and elevates the optical center to eye level.

Acetate / Plastic Frames:
Immerse the temple arms (avoiding the lenses) in warm water (approx. 40°C–50°C / 105°F–120°F) for 30 to 45 seconds to soften the material. Once pliable, apply gentle, even pressure inward and downward at the bend behind the ear to create a more secure contour.
2. Excessive Pressure on the Nose Bridge (Tight Fit)

Metal Frames (Adjustable Nose Pads):
Place your thumbs on the inner surface of the pads and gently push them outward. This widens the distance between the pads, distributing weight more evenly across the nasal bridge.

Acetate / Plastic Frames:
Soften the ear bends in warm water for 30 to 45 seconds. Apply gradual upward and outward pressure to open the curve of the temple arms slightly, relieving clamping pressure behind the ears and on the bridge.
3. Uneven Frame Level (One Lens Higher than the Other)

Diagnosis:
Set the unfolded glasses upside down on a flat surface. If both temples do not touch the surface evenly, the frame requires vertical hinge alignment.

Correction:

If the right lens is sitting higher, gently bend the right temple arm downward at the hinge or ear bend.

If the left lens is sitting higher, gently bend the left temple arm downward at the hinge or ear bend.
(Alternatively, bend the opposing side upward. Always adjust in micro-increments.)

4. Vertex Distance Discrepancy (One Lens Closer to the Eye)

Diagnosis:
One lens sits noticeably closer to your eyelashes or eye surface than the opposite side.

If the right lens is too close, gently bend the right temple arm inward at the hinge, or bend the left temple arm outward.

If the left lens is too close, gently bend the left temple arm inward at the hinge, or bend the right temple arm outward.
